Famous hanging coffins of Sagada in Echo valley
This is a traditional way of burying people that is still utilized. Not anyone is qualified to be buried this way; one had to, among other things, be married and have grandchildren.

Sagada is nestled in a valley in the central Cordillera on Luzon island. It’s great escape from heat in Manila, because is about one and half kilometers above sea level. Popular activities are trekking, exploring caves and waterfalls, nature hikes and participating in tribal celebrations
