Mine was in work from the end of the nineteenth century and up to the early fifties
A brown, light, easily flammable mineral was extracted from bituminous veins interspersed in the dolomitic rocks.
Then was brought to Resiutta to be distilled to extract some heavy mineral oils, using the gases released during distillation as fuel.
